Maximum Stay
London Heathrow Airport are introducing a 10-minute maximum stay on all Terminal Drop-Off forecourts to help ease congestion and improve traffic flow. This change is designed to make the drop-off experience smoother and more efficient for everyone.
If a vehicle stays on the forecourt for longer than 10 minutes, a Parking Charge will be issued.
Blue Badge holders who register their trip in advance, following the usual process, will be exempt from this time limit.
Please remember that pick-ups must continue to be made from Terminal Parking or the Park & Ride car parks.
Price Increase
From 1 January 2026, the Terminal Drop-Off Charge will increase from £6 to £7. While any price change can be challenging, this charge plays an important role in supporting Heathrow’s sustainability ambitions and reducing the airport’s environmental impact. Revenue from the scheme contributes to sustainable transport initiatives and helps to lower congestion and pollution around the airport.
Free drop-off and pick-up options remain available at all terminals in the Park & Ride car parks (formerly Long Stay).
