If you hold a valid UK or European Economic Area (EEA) Blue Badge, you can apply for a 100% discount even if you don’t drive or own a vehicle. You apply for a Blue Badge discount for the vehicle that drops you off – a taxi or a friend’s car, for example.
A new process is now in place, removing the need for passengers to upload their Blue Badge details for every visit. Now, passengers will need to create a Blue Badge Account, which will store their details. Accounts not used within 12-months will expire, and when your Blue Badge is close to its expiry date, a reminder will be sent out to upload the new one.
To apply for the blue badge discount, please follow the instructions below:
- Visit https://heathrowdropoff.apcoa.com/bluebadgetrip/approvalneeded
- Select "Blue Badge discount"
- Select "Apply for Blue Badge account"
- Select "Sign Up Now"
- Enter your email address and select “Send Verification Code”
- Retrieve the code from the email sent to you and enter into the field provided. The verification code may be received to a separate inbox such as Junk or Spam.
- Select “Verify Code”
- Complete all mandatory information
- Select “Create”
- Enter the expiry date of your Blue Badge
- Select “Upload Files” to upload photographs of the front and back of your Blue Badge.
- Select “Submit Application”
Please note: The confirmation process may take up to five working days. Therefore, if you intend to drop off prior to this period, we recommend paying the full Terminal Drop-off Charge.
IMPORTANT: Once your Blue Badge has been approved, your account will become active. For each visit, simply log in and confirm the date and vehicle registration number to receive the 100% discount.
